The Scantling uses basic geometric shapes — cylinders, lines and circles — to create a restrained, minimalist profile. It is available in White and Black and features a slender vertical pole with a horizontal wooden arm and a cylindrical shade for a clean silhouette.

Construction combines metal and dark-toned wood: a white metal pole and flat circular base support a dark wooden adjustment arm and a tactile wooden handle. All mechanical tension is concealed within the joints, preserving the lamp's uncluttered lines.

The cylindrical shade pivots and rotates on a ball-joint system, allowing the beam to be directed precisely for task work. The wooden lever at the shade mount acts as a positioning handle, while friction ball joints hold the selected angle without exposed springs or counterweights. The black power cable routes into the pole and through the adjustment joint to the head.
