Marset Dipping Light Table Lamp

Marset Dipping Light Table Lamp is a table lamp designed by Jordi Canudas for Marset. The Dipping Light pairs a blown-glass globe with a cylindrical metal base to deliver a decorative ambient light for tables, bedside surfaces and shelves.

The glass globe is finished with horizontal layers of colour produced by a multi-stage dipping process that sifts the light into soft gradations. The design balances a brushed metal cylinder with an artisanal glass sphere; the base is offered in graphite or brushed brass and the glass is available in several layered colours including blue, cream, chocolate and burgundy.

The globe is glossy blown glass with layered paint and sits on a metal cylinder with a brushed texture; the pictured model shows a dark graphite finish. A black power cord exits the base and the lamp is operated with an inline switch for straightforward day-to-day use. The product includes a two-year defects-only warranty.

Internally the light illuminates the lower translucent portion of the globe, producing a diffused, warm ambient glow suitable for accent or bedside lighting rather than focused task light. When unlit the saturated glass tones read as a sculptural object as well as a functional luminaire.
