Marchetti Loto Wall & Ceiling Light

The Marchetti Loto Wall & Ceiling Light, designed by Roberto Giacomucci for Marchetti, is a decorative surface-mounted fitting that reads as both ambient light and wall art. Its precision-cut, sunburst silhouette gives a clear sculptural presence whether specified as a low-profile ceiling light or an architectural wall sconce.

Formally the Loto is composed of a central circular disk surrounded by sixteen radiating trapezoidal plates; narrow gaps between the petals allow light to pass and create a radial halo. The range is available in Bronze, White, Copper Leaf, Silver Leaf and Gold Leaf finishes.

Construction is metal with a brushed texture, the grain oriented across the central disk and along each petal to emphasise the geometric motif. The highly geometric solar motif and raw brushed metal finish give the fitting a mid-century modern / contemporary industrial aesthetic.
