The Graypants Scraplights Hive Pendant is a sculptural pendant ceiling light from Graypants' Scraplights range, made from recycled corrugated cardboard and shaped into a bulbous, hive‑like form. Its tiered profile reads as a considered decorative object while serving as a source of ambient light.

The design is formed from numerous horizontal rings of corrugated cardboard stacked to create a teardrop silhouette that is widest at the base and tapers toward the top. The Hive is offered in Natural and White finishes to suit different schemes.

Each shade is precision laser cut and assembled by hand using non‑toxic adhesive; the laser cutting produces the characteristic darker edges on each layer. Shades are treated with a non‑toxic fire retardant and retain a tactile, ribbed surface from the corrugation.

Light filters through the gaps within the corrugated layers to produce a warm, textured glow suitable for ambient and decorative lighting. The top aperture accommodates a lamp holder and cord and the pendant is suspended via a thin ceiling cord. This product is intended for use in dry locations.
