The Graypants Scraplights Ausi Pendant is a ceiling-mounted pendant from Graypants' Scraplights range. Handcrafted from recycled corrugated cardboard, the Ausi offers warm, intimate ambient illumination while acting as a considered decorative centrepiece.

Its rounded, barrel-like silhouette has a wide body and a slightly tapered top formed from numerous horizontal layers of stacked corrugated cardboard. The shade is offered in Natural and White finishes to suit contemporary and rustic schemes.

Each shade is precision laser-cut and assembled by hand using non-toxic adhesive, and the range is treated with a non-toxic fire retardant. The visible wavy fluting of the corrugated board becomes a defining textural detail in the finished piece.

When lit the internal light source illuminates the interior, causing light to filter through the gaps between layers and transforming the matte shade into a warm, glowing volume with high-contrast horizontal banding. The stepped, concentric rings at the base direct light downward while reducing direct view of the lamp.

The pendant suspends from a single thin black electrical cable for a clean ceiling drop; it is a ceiling-mounted fitting intended for interior ambient use. A two-year manufacturer warranty is provided.
