The Foscarini Tress Pendant is a suspension pendant by Foscarini, designed by Marc Sadler. The lamp presents a tall, slender, nest-like cylinder formed from a wound ribbon of fibreglass-based composite and is intended to light a defined area beneath while also supplying decorative, diffused ambience.

Its form contrasts a densely packed, opaque upper section with an airy, open-weave lower section; the layered ribbon becomes both structure and decoration. The Tress family is offered in multiple sizes, with the large version featuring an internal blown-glass diffuser and a more substantial suspension arrangement.

Construction follows a craft-led process: a composite tape is modelled around a mould with controlled pitch and pattern, then finished with a liquid coat. The shade sits on a chromed metal frame with a galvanised ceiling bracket and a glossy chromed ABS canopy cover. Suspension is by thin steel cables; the large variant uses three cables while smaller versions use a single cable.

Light is delivered as a mix of downward, taskable illumination and gentle diffusion through the lattice. The shade creates shadowplay on surrounding surfaces while directing a pool of light below. The fitting accepts an E27 lamp (PAR style recommended) to a maximum of 100W; bulbs are not included. The fitting is dimmable with a compatible dimmable lamp and appropriate dimmer. IP20 rating — for indoor use only.
