The Foscarini Caboche Pendant, designed by Eliana Gerotto and Patricia Urquiola, is a suspension ceiling light that transforms a central light source into a jewel-like composition of transparent spheres. The Caboche Plus revision increases transparency and brightness while retaining the original sculptural intent for decorative ambient lighting.

The shade reads as a flattened, oblate form clad in concentric rows of clear PMMA spheres mounted to transparent PC arches using a twist-lock attachment. The pendant is offered in two appearances, Grey and Clear, each emphasising the multifaceted, sparkling effect of the spheres.

Construction combines transparent PC arches with PMMA spheres applied to a powder-coated steel body that houses a double-sided LED board on an aluminium dissipator. The top is protected by a small opaline PMMA disc and the underside by a satin-finish PMMA diffuser, helping the fitting achieve an even, controlled glow.

Light is delivered as diffused ambient illumination: the outer spheres scatter and refract the LED output to create a glittering, low-glare presence while the satin diffuser ensures uniform distribution. The pendant is intended for interior, dry locations and carries an IP20 rating.

Installation uses a three-point suspension with steel cables and a white ceiling canopy; an electric decentralisation kit is available. The Caboche Plus includes Foscarini's integrated LED board and features an aluminium heat dissipator. Warranty information is supplied with the product and the standard manufacturer warranty is one year.
