The Foscarini Birdie Table Lamp, designed by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, reinterprets the classic lampshade silhouette with a contemporary, organic motif. The Birdie range pairs a tapered drum shade with a slender stem and a small branch-like control element to create a familiar yet modern table light.

Formally the design balances a gently narrowing shade with a thin vertical rod interrupted by a short diagonal 'branch' that houses the touch control on dimmable variants. The range is offered in two sizes and in variants with or without the touch-dimmer, allowing choice for bedside or desk applications.

The construction combines a die-cast zinc alloy base and a steel rod, both liquid-coated for durability, with an external translucent polycarbonate shade and an opaline internal diffuser to soften the output. A transparent power cable exits at the side of the circular base, keeping the profile clean.

Light is delivered as a diffuse, downward-and-ambient wash thanks to the opaline internal diffuser and translucent external shade, making Birdie suitable for task-adjacent ambient light at bedside tables and desks. Dimmable versions provide gradual intensity control via the branch touch sensor; non-dimmable variants use an on/off switch on the transparent cable.

On dimmable versions an electronic transformer is integrated on the transparent cable; check variant notes when specifying. The fitting carries an IP20 rating and is intended for indoor, dry locations. A one-year manufacturer's warranty applies to the product.
