The Foscarini Big Bang Suspension is a pendant designed by Enrico Franzolini and Vicente Garcia Jimenez for the Big Bang range. The fitting assembles multiple translucent methacrylate slabs around an epoxy powder-coated aluminium plate to form a striking ceiling-mounted sculpture intended as a decorative focal point for interior spaces.

The composition reads as an explosion of interlocking rectangular and trapezoidal planes, creating a dynamic, changeable presence from different angles. The design is offered in White appearance and in two sizes (L and XL) to suit larger living or commercial volumes.

The lamp is built from translucent methacrylate panels that slot together using purpose-cut couplings, mounted on an internal epoxy powder-coated aluminium plate. Suspension is by two stainless steel cables with a single transparent electrical cord, finished with a canopy that incorporates a galvanised metal bracket and a powder-coated metal cover.

The light source sits centrally within the cluster of planes to deliver direct downward illumination to the surface beneath and a soft, diffused ambient glow through the layered panels. The overlapping geometry produces a considered interplay of light and shadow, making the fitting effective as both task-adjacent and atmospheric lighting.

Installation notes: the fixture is rated IP20 and intended for dry interior use; a canopy decentralisation kit is available. The product is supplied with its suspension cables, transparent power cord and canopy assembly; lamp and driver details should be confirmed for your scheme.
