Flos Ray Table Lamp is a design-led table lamp from Flos, offered in the Ray range. The lamp pairs a perfectly cylindrical drum shade with a mikado-style, crossed-stick base—an architectural composition that reads as a solid upper volume balanced by a delicate open frame. It is intended for localized interior illumination and decorative use.

The Ray lamp is available in three appearances: Black, White and Glass, allowing the shade or diffuser finish to be chosen to suit the scheme. The contrast between a glossy shade and a fine, intersecting chrome base gives the lamp a sculptural presence without visual heaviness.

Construction is detailed and precise: the supporting structure uses steel tube (10 mm diameter), welded and finished in brushed and chrome-plated surfaces. The diffuser support disk is die-cast Zamak alloy with a polished chrome finish. Internal components include a white PA6 (nylon) lamp cover, a 3% opal polycarbonate inner diffuser, transparent elastic PVC feet and lathe-shaped aluminium diffusers finished white inside; the glass option is a grey-coloured blown and overlaid glass with a glossy external finish.

The inner opal diffuser delivers soft, even, diffused light to reduce glare and support a relaxed ambience. An electronic dimmer is fitted on the cable to adjust brightness, giving simple, tactile control of atmosphere and balance in the room. The lamp is IP20-rated and intended for indoor use only.
