Flos Noctambule Floor 1 High Cylinder is a floor lamp from Flos's Noctambule range, designed by Konstantin Grcic. The piece reads as a single transparent blown-glass cylinder and is intended to provide soft, ambient interior lighting with a calm, architectural presence.

The lamp pairs a cylindrical blown-glass body with visible internal hardware and opal silicone ring diffusers positioned at the cylinder junctions. Light is emitted horizontally from integrated rings behind the diffusers to create a balanced, low‑glare band of illumination. The Noctambule system is modular; interconnecting modules can reach 2.17 metres, while the '1 High Cylinder' is supplied as a single module.

Construction combines delicate blown glass with engineered metalwork: a die‑cast aluminium small base and rings, hydroformed steel internal lateral arms and injection‑moulded optical opal silicone outer ring diffusers. The glass cylinder is held between the metal rings, producing a precise, high‑contrast architectural silhouette.

Light is delivered from integrated rings behind the opal silicone diffusers, producing diffuse ambient illumination rather than concentrated task light. The fitting contains an LED light source rated energy class E, which is replaceable only by a qualified professional. The design emphasises calm ambience and visible structure for considered interiors.
