Flos Glo-Ball Ceiling 2 Ceiling Light, designed by Jasper Morrison for Flos, presents a flattened globe form finished with an opaline, acid‑etched glass diffuser. This surface‑mounted ceiling fitting is intended to provide soft, diffused ambient illumination in interior settings.

The design emphasises a minimalist silhouette — a low, oblate spheroid that sits close to the ceiling. The simple globe profile removes visual clutter, letting the diffuser deliver even light across a room while the small grey base keeps the look restrained.

Construction uses an externally acid‑etched, hand‑blown flashed opaline glass diffuser, paired with a die‑cast aluminium threaded ring nut with alodine plating. The ceiling fitting includes a 30% fiberglass reinforced injection‑moulded polyamide component and a grey painted die‑cast aluminium diffuser support for a considered, durable build.

The fixture accepts an internal E27 lamp holder and is designed to spread light evenly in all directions; the opal glass softens the source to reduce glare and produce balanced ambience.
