DCW éditions AARO Wall Light

The DCW éditions AARO Wall Light, designed by Simon Schmitz, is a decorative wall-mounted luminaire from the AARO range. Its minimalist composition uses a central sphere as the defining element, giving the piece a poised, almost levitating presence.

Formally the fitting is a long slender arm balanced on a central spherical pivot with a large spherical counterweight at one end and a small, flat integrated light head at the other. The example shown is finished in a uniform matte black, emphasising the clean geometric lines.

Construction centres on a circular wall plate and a short vertical bracket that holds the spherical joint; the arm pivots freely so the lamp can be positioned with multi-directional movement while remaining balanced by the counterweight. The design shows no visible external wiring.

The small, flat light head provides focused, directional illumination suitable for task or accent use — ideal for reading nooks, beside beds, or as a sculptural accent in living areas. The cantilevered arm allows precise aiming so light can be directed without extensive reconfiguration.
