The Astro PIR and Ambient Light Sensor is a recessed lighting accessory from Astro, designed for discrete motion detection and light-level monitoring in lighting control systems. Its compact, low-profile form is intended for ceilings and panels where architectural subtlety matters.

The sensor has a cylindrical body with a wider, flat flange that sits nearly flush to the mounting surface. The face contains a translucent, multi-faceted dome lens and two small circular openings that house the ambient light sensor and a status indicator, giving a clean, minimal appearance when installed.

Construction uses a matte white plastic housing and spring-loaded metal clips that secure the unit within a recessed cut-out. The spring-clip mechanism enables tool-free installation for a neat, architectural finish in interior ceilings.
