The Astro Homefield Pendant 240 is a lantern-style outdoor ceiling light from Astro's Homefield range. Its rectangular metal frame with a brushed gold metallic finish and four clear glass panels gives a contemporary take on a classic lantern, designed for sheltered external positions and bathroom zones 2 and 3 (IP44).

Formally restrained, the design uses thin structural lines to maximise the glass area for clarity of light. The pendant is suspended on a metal link chain with a clear electrical cable following the chain, and the open base allows unobstructed downward light and straightforward lamp access.

Construction is metal with inset clear glass panels and a centrally mounted cylindrical bulb socket in the same metallic finish. The fitting is Class II double insulated and supplied with ceiling mounting hardware; Astro backs the product with a three-year manufacturer warranty.

The pendant takes a single E27 lamp (LED recommended) with a maximum rating of 12W and a maximum lamp length of 200mm. Light is directed downward through the open base and transparent sides, creating balanced ambient illumination with minimal shadowing. Dimming is possible when used with a dimmable lamp and a compatible external dimmer.

Installation is mains-wired (hardwired) and does not require a separate driver. The fitting is IP44 rated and suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 and for sheltered outdoor locations. A lamp is required but not included.
