Formally the shade is a shallow drum with clean trimmed rims and a fine-woven polycotton exterior; it is offered in Putty and White to sit quietly within a scheme. The wide open top and bottom support both upward and downward light, creating a balanced ambience.

The exterior uses a putty-toned polycotton (or white) with a visible fine-woven texture, while the interior is lined in a smooth white material to improve reflection. A chamois diffuser is used to reduce direct glare and give even illumination across the room.
