Formally the lamp is defined by parallel, thin rectangular arms and a counterbalance system that allow fluid adjustment across wide horizontal and vertical reach while keeping a small desk footprint. Signature red pivot pins and a uniform matte black finish give the piece its recognisable, minimal expression.

Construction combines an aluminium head with slender metal arms and small rectangular counterweights at the arm extremities. The parallel arm structure also acts as the electrical conductor between base and head, eliminating visible external wiring and preserving the lamp's clean silhouette.
