Formed as a wide, flat disc, Calipso uses a dense cluster of vertical tubes to create a honeycomb surface that controls light and shadow. The lamp is offered in two colour temperatures: 2700K and 3000K, allowing a warm or slightly cooler warm white depending on the scheme.

The body is made from hundreds of cylindrical apertures arranged in varying diameters to produce an impure, fractal texture.
