STORY

The Visual Comfort Zephyr Floor Lamp, designed by Kelly Wearstler for the Zephyr range, is a freestanding floor light that pairs architectural form with domestic function. The statement silhouette references cylinder, cone and disc geometries while working as an ambient interior light.

The lamp is sculpted around a thick cylindrical base that tapers into a conical neck, capped by a thin, horizontal disc and a slender vertical stem that supports a tapered empire (drum) shade. The integrated disc acts as a convenient tray at a practical height, combining storage with form.

The finish contrasts a matte black textured base and stem with an off-white or cream linen shade, producing a considered monochrome balance that softens the light. The heavy, wide-diameter base provides structural stability for the tall profile.

The classic linen shade diffuses light to create warm, ambient illumination and a balanced atmosphere. Two pull-chain switches beneath the shade offer direct manual control; the fitting is specified for indoor use with an IP20 rating.
