STORY

The Visual Comfort York Double Box Wall Sconce, designed by Barbara Barry, is a decorative wall light that pairs a tall, rectangular profile with refined material detail. The piece reflects the York range's architectural intent and is intended for interior ambient or accent lighting.

Formally the sconce presents a double-box geometry: a vertical, box-like metal frame finished in soft brass surrounds clear, vertically ribbed glass panels. The slim 16" profile gives a linear presence suitable for corridors, living spaces or beside mirrors.

Construction is metal with a soft brass finish and clear ribbed glass panels that sit within the rectangular frame. A flat, L-shaped metal base plate supports two cylindrical lamp cups and the mounting backplate, emphasising a neat, architectural build.

The fitting houses two internal, upward-facing lamp sockets. The clear ribbed glass diffuses light to reduce direct glare while creating a subtle linear pattern in the illumination, making the sconce effective for ambient washes or sculptural accenting.

The York is designed for hardwired wall installation and carries an IP20 rating, so it is specified for internal, dry zones.
