STORY

The Visual Comfort Windfall Outdoor Wall Light, designed by Sean Lavin, is a geometric exterior wall light that pairs architectural form with ambient performance. The block-like silhouette and layered front panel give a sculptural presence suitable for walkways, perimeters and contemporary façades.

Formally the piece is a tall rectangular backplate with a parallel, offset rectangular front panel connected by horizontal top and bottom segments to create a hollow, open-sided frame. The design is offered in two sizes, Small and Large, allowing proportionate choices for different elevations.

Constructed from metal with a consistent matte black finish, the Windfall has a minimalist, sharply lined aesthetic. The build emphasises clean edges and a layered three-dimensional effect that adds depth to an exterior wall without visible bulbs or lenses.

Integrated light sources sit on the interior top and bottom surfaces of the frame and are directed inward toward the backplate, producing an indirect glow that highlights the fixture and reduces glare. This arrangement makes the fitting particularly suitable for ambient wall-washing and accenting circulation routes while preserving visual comfort. The fitting has a CRI of 90, supporting good colour rendering for exterior surfaces.

The Windfall is designed for hardwired, flush exterior mounting and carries an IP44 rating for protection against splashing water. As an integrated-light product there are no external lamps to replace; check the product technical details for driver and dimming compatibility and consult a qualified electrician for installation. The manufacturer provides a one-year warranty.
