Visual Comfort Venice Wall Sconce

The Visual Comfort Venice Wall Sconce, designed by Thomas O'Brien for the Venice range, is a decorative wall-mounted light that combines architectural form with a soft, atmospheric glow. The fixture pairs a diamond-shaped metal backplate with a central hemispherical glass globe to create a considered focal point for hallways, dining rooms and living spaces.

Its design deliberately contrasts sharp geometric lines and deep-set concentric moldings with an organic, textured glass centre. The sconce is offered in Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass and Bronze, allowing the fitting to sit comfortably in both classic and contemporary interiors.

Construction features a sculptural metal frame with recessed circular moldings that draw the eye toward the globe. The central globe contains a mottled metallic gold-leaf internal texture that becomes a celestial, warm surface when lit, emphasising depth and shadow within the frame.

Light is housed within the globe and directed through the textured lower portion, producing a decorative, diffused ambient light rather than focused task illumination. The glass diffuser softens and scatters light to create atmosphere and balance in a space.
