STORY

The Visual Comfort Totie Table Lamp, designed by Thomas O'Brien for the Totie range, is a compact task table lamp that pairs minimalist geometry with industrial detailing. Its hemispherical dome and stout proportions make it a calm, purposeful addition to a desk or side table for focused work or reading.

The lamp is characterised by a large, deep dome shade that conceals the light source and directs illumination firmly downwards. A thick cylindrical stem rises from a tiered circular base and is capped with a decorative finial and a knurled collar at the shade junction. The Totie is offered in Polished Nickel, Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass and Bronze.

Construction is visibly deliberate: a bulbous convex section sits above two flat concentric rings to form the base, while the stem and dome read as solid, well‑weighted elements.
