STORY

The Visual Comfort Sesia Pendant, designed by Aerin Lauder for Visual Comfort, is a ceiling-mounted pendant that pairs a slim metal suspension rod with a broad, horizontally flattened white glass shade to deliver calm, diffused interior illumination.

The design contrasts a very thin vertical stem with a squat oval glass volume. A pronounced flared metal neck meets the shade and a conical canopy anchors the fitting to the ceiling, creating an elegant, quietly architectural silhouette.

Constructed from metal and glass, the Sesia pendant features an opal-style glass shade intended to diffuse light evenly. The suspension rod is interrupted mid-length by a small cylindrical coupling and terminates in a trumpet-style metal fitting where it meets the glass.

The opal glass provides soft, even ambient light suitable for living rooms, hallways and bedrooms; the rigid rod suspension gives a stable, fixed hanging position that resists rotation and keeps the glass volume aligned. This pendant is specified for interior use (IP20).
