STORY

The Visual Comfort Selfoss Sconce by AERIN is a decorative wall light from the Selfoss range. Its sculptural, hourglass-like profile and two-toned metal finish give a refined presence suitable for bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and other internal spaces.

The design features two curved metal panels that cinch towards the centre, producing a symmetrical up-and-down light distribution. The sconce is offered in two sizes (Large and Small) and in three two‑tone appearances: Black & Brass, Bronze & Gild and Plaster White & Gild.

Constructed from metal, the Selfoss Sconce pairs a smooth matte exterior with a warm, reflective metallic interior. The fixtures are finished to emphasise contrast between the outer surface and the interior lining; weights are approximately 5 kg for the Large model and 1.8 kg for the Small model.

Light is delivered upwards and downwards from recessed E14 candelabra sockets, concealing the lamps to reduce glare and create a balanced ambient wash against the wall. The Large version accepts 4 × E14 (max 40W per socket) while the Small accepts 2 × E14 (max 25W per socket).

Product notes: the Selfoss is IP20 and Class I, intended for internal, dry locations only — refer to bathroom zone requirements before specifying it for wet areas. The fitting requires a protective earth connection. Lamps, drivers or transformers are not specified; check lamp compatibility and dimming with the chosen E14 lamps and control gear. A paper template is available on request to confirm siting and scale.
