STORY

Visual Comfort Selecta Wall Sconce by Thomas O'Brien is a linear decorative wall light that pairs a pill-shaped opal diffuser with domed metal end caps. The refined capsule silhouette reads modern and architectural, designed for use as a bathroom vanity light or a corridor/ambience fixture.

The Selecta sconce is offered in Polished Nickel, Bronze and Bronze & Antique Brass finishes, and can be mounted vertically or horizontally to suit your composition. The design emphasises seamless transitions between the light-emitting centre and the metallic hardware, with a small central button detail on each end cap as an architectural accent.

Construction combines a central white opal glass or acrylic diffuser capped by hemispherical metal covers in a dark bronze finish, producing a bi-tonal, minimalist appearance. The internal light source is obscured by the diffuser to deliver soft, glare-free ambient illumination while preserving a clean exterior profile.

The fitting is intended for hardwired wall installation and carries an IP20 rating, so it is suitable for indoor locations and bathroom mirror mounting outside direct splash zones. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance when siting above a mirror — a common recommendation is to position the sconce just above eye level (around 60"–65" to the centre) for even illumination.
