STORY

The Visual Comfort Samos Wall Sconce, from Aerin Lauder's Samos range, is a decorative wall light that pairs a textured metal frame with a nested alabaster shade to deliver calm, diffused ambient illumination suitable for halls, living rooms and offices.

The design reads as an organic, sculptural pebble: a shallow, bowl-like metal surround with visible hand-applied texture cradles a smooth, rounded alabaster diffuser. The Samos is offered in Burnished Silver Leaf and Gild finishes and in two sizes, Small and Tall, to suit different wall proportions.

Construction combines a textured metal outer frame with a central natural alabaster shade. The alabaster is a genuine stone so each piece will show unique veining and subtle colour variation. Two small metallic fasteners secure the shade to the internal base, a detail that keeps the overall silhouette clean and low-profile.

The internal light source produces a concentrated warm glow that diffuses softly through the alabaster, reducing glare and creating layered shadow and ambience. Its shallow, wall-hugging profile is intended for flush or low-profile mounting, making the Samos suitable as paired or repeat fixtures along circulation routes or as punctuated accents in living areas. Note the fitting is IP20, for indoor use only.
