STORY

The Visual Comfort Rousseau Wall Sconce, designed by Kelly Wearstler, is a decorative wall-mounted light from the Rousseau range. Its restrained, torch-like silhouette and clean lines reference modern classic forms and suit considered interior schemes, including bathroom installations when specified with regard to its IP rating.

Formally the sconce is a slim, vertical cylinder that rises from a compact oval backplate via a short fixed stem. The lower cylinder and mounting components are metal with a fine brushed texture, and the luminous upper section is a white frosted diffuser. It is available in Polished Nickel, Bronze and Antique‑Burnished Brass.

Construction emphasises a seamless transition from solid metal base to diffuser, producing an elongated, cohesive visual line that reads well either as a single accent or as a pair flanking a mirror. The rounded backplate echoes the cylinder to maintain geometric balance.

The light is orientated vertically with the diffuser at the top, delivering gentle upward ambient and accent illumination rather than direct task light. Its slim profile and compact mounting plate make it particularly suitable for narrow walls and mirror flanks where balanced, glare‑controlled ambience is required.

This sconce is intended for hardwired installation; the product is supplied without a visible flex or switch. The fitting is rated IP20 for indoor use.
