STORY

The Visual Comfort Rigby Floor Lamp, designed by Marie Flanigan, is a bridge-arm floor lamp from the Rigby range. Its linear silhouette and mixed-material details place it between contemporary and transitional styles, intended for interior residential or commercial task and accent lighting.

The lamp’s form is defined by a tall, slender vertical stem that meets a curved right-angle joint and a horizontal bridge arm, allowing the shade to be offset from the central pole. The wide circular base provides the necessary counterweight and stability for the cantilevered arm. The Rigby is offered in two finish combinations: Polished Nickel and Ebony, or Soft Brass and Natural Oak.

Constructed in metal, the base, neck and joint components show a high-shine metallic finish while the main vertical pole and bridge arm present a darker ebony appearance in the ebony variant. The shade is a tapered conical, empire-style form in white linen and is trimmed with thin metallic rims that match the base finish, a detail that refines the overall silhouette.

The linen shade provides softened, diffused illumination suitable for reading or creating a focused accent without harsh glare.
