STORY

The Visual Comfort Rega 12" Wide Sconce is an outdoor wall sconce from the Rega range, designed by Kelly Wearstler for Visual Comfort. Finished in Antique-Burnished Brass, the fitting is intended to provide controlled, downward-directed illumination for exterior walls and pathways.

Formally the sconce uses a rectangular profile composed of a lower flat backplate and an upper hooded cap. The hood has a subtle central seam and a shallow, roof-like geometry that directs light downwards while the flat panel reflects spill back onto the wall. It is available in Bronze and Antique-Burnished Brass.

The Antique-Burnished Brass finish is described as a soft, non-reflective metallic texture with warm golden and ochre tones, giving an aged, artisanal appearance rather than a high‑gloss industrial look. The large rectangular backplate also acts as a simple, considered reflector for the downlight.

The light source is concealed beneath the upper hood, producing a focused downward spill that reduces glare and creates balanced wall illumination and shadow for atmosphere. The design is suited to siting beside doors and along pathways where controlled downward light and visual clarity are required.

Installation is wall-mounted with no visible external fasteners on the primary forward-facing surfaces. This product is ETL listed; a 2D paper template (actual size) can be ordered to check siting and mounting — templates ship in 2–3 business days for $15.
