STORY

Visual Comfort Refined Rib Wall Sconce, designed by Barbara Barry, is a decorative interior wall light from the Refined Rib range. The sconce pairs a polished metal rectangular backplate with a tactile, ribbed central stem and a linen drum shade to provide considered ambient and accent illumination for living spaces and corridors.

The design emphasises vertical rhythm: a long, tapered stem with a ribbed texture extends above and below the horizontal support arm, creating a balanced silhouette. It is offered in China White, Ebony Resin and Soft Brass to suit a range of schemes.

Construction combines a polished metal backplate and arm with a matte, textured central spindle and a woven, off-white fabric shade. The rectangular backplate includes visible fixings consistent with fixed-wall mounting and a refined, architectural aesthetic.

The linen drum shade gently diffuses the lamp to deliver soft, indirect light suitable for ambient or accent applications. The horizontal arm positions the shade at a fixed distance from the wall so the fitting casts a restrained pool of light and a subtle shadow pattern from the ribbed stem (IP20).
