STORY

The Visual Comfort Presidio Caged Pendant is a pendant ceiling light designed by Ian K. Fowler for Visual Comfort. This Presidio pendant references architectural geometry with a tapered, four-sided metal cage that houses a vertical glass cylinder; the fitting is intended for interior illumination and is supplied in multiple finish and glass options.

The piece contrasts the sharp, trapezoidal outer frame with a smooth, cylindrical inner shade to emphasise verticality and calm proportion. It is offered in Bronze and Polished Nickel finishes, and with White or Clear glass, allowing the pendant to suit both traditional and contemporary schemes.

Constructed from metal with a central glass shade, the open-cage frame provides structural protection for the inner cylinder while keeping the lamp visually accessible. The design uses a single, upward-facing socket located at the base of the glass cylinder and is shown with a long tubular bulb that highlights the pendant’s vertical form.

The suspension comprises segmented downrods so the hanging height is adjustable during installation; for custom heights please contact our sales team. The fixture is rated IP20 and intended for dry, indoor spaces.
