STORY

The Visual Comfort Pedra Flush Ceiling Light, designed by Kelly Wearstler for Visual Comfort, pairs sharp linear metal arms with domed natural alabaster shades to create a contemporary, sculptural ceiling fitting. It is a surface-mounted flush fixture intended for interior illumination where a shallow profile and broad light spread are required.

The Pedra’s eight straight rectangular arms radiate from a central circular hub in a staggered arrangement, producing an asymmetrical, ultra-modern silhouette. The fitting is available in Antique-Burnished Brass and Bronze and offered in Large, Extra-Large and Grande sizes to suit different ceiling proportions.

Construction combines a warm metal frame with domed alabaster shades. The natural stone shades show unique grey and tan veining, so each shade is visually distinct. Some functional components are formed from engineered materials where appropriate for reliable assembly.

Translucent alabaster shades diffuse light to reduce glare while emphasising the stone’s texture; the multi-arm layout provides multi-directional illumination suitable for living areas, dining spaces and other interior rooms that benefit from an even ambient wash. The central hub serves as the structural anchor and electrical junction point.
