STORY

The Visual Comfort Orbet Pendant, designed by Sean Lavin, is a ceiling-mounted pendant light from the Orbet range. Its clean, vertical composition of stacked glass spheres gives it a modern, sculptural presence while delivering soft, diffused ambient illumination.

The design centres on a linear sequence of five frosted opal globes arranged on a single axis to create a beaded aesthetic and strict geometric symmetry. The Orbet pendant is available in Natural Brass, Nightshade Black and Polished Nickel to suit a range of interior palettes.

Construction combines metal hardware with opal or frosted glass globes: a flat circular ceiling canopy and slim suspension cord support the vertically aligned spheres, with small horizontal spacers maintaining consistent separation and balance.

Light is emitted from multiple points along the central axis, producing layered, even diffusion ideal for circulation spaces, stairwells or above narrow dining runs. The fitting has a high colour rendering index (CRI 90) for accurate colour rendition and an IP20 rating for indoor, dry-zone use.

The slim suspension cable indicates an adjustable drop to position the pendant precisely; the canopy is a flat disc that suits standard ceiling mounting.
