STORY

The Visual Comfort Nancy Pendant is a pendant ceiling light from Visual Comfort’s Nancy range, designed by Marie Flanigan. The large, dome-shaped woven bamboo shade and polished brass mounting give this interior pendant a transitional, crafted presence that reads as a considered decorative focal.

The pendant’s deep bell profile has a cylindrical lower half and an open bottom, allowing direct downward light while the woven sides gently diffuse illumination. The Nancy Pendant is offered in two sizes, Small and Large, to suit different ceiling heights and visual proportions.

Construction uses tightly woven bamboo in a warm tan tone; the weave shows dense horizontal strands supported by a vertical internal framework. Natural tonal variation is expected in the material, emphasising the hand-crafted character of the shade. The suspension hardware, including a stepped round canopy, linked metal chain and top loop, is finished in polished brass.

Light is delivered as a combination of direct task illumination through the open base and softer, ambient light through the woven sides, making the pendant both practical and atmospheric for interior use. Note that the fixture is rated IP20 and is therefore intended for dry, internal locations only.

Installation is hardwired; the linked chain permits adjustable suspension height and the open base gives easy access for bulb replacement. The Nancy Pendant is supplied with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty.
