STORY

Visual Comfort Melanie Table Lamp by Barbara Barry is a cordless, rechargeable accent lamp that pairs a rounded ceramic base with a tapered linen empire shade. The Melanie range reinterprets classic table lamp proportions with a contemporary, portable function.

The design balances an organic, lobed base against the clean geometry of a white, tapered drum-style shade. It is offered in two reactive-glaze appearances: Crackled Ivory and Crackled Moonseed, each with a unique surface pattern.

The base is formed in ceramic (plaster/ceramic) with a crackle reactive glaze that creates a dense network of fine fissures, giving each piece an artisanal, aged character. The shade is a textured fabric, such as linen, in a neutral white to complement the base.

Light is provided by an integrated LED source within the shade that produces a soft, diffused glow ideal for ambient and accent lighting. The lamp’s flat, stable base suits placement on side tables, mantels or shelves; with an IP20 rating it is recommended for indoor use only.

The Melanie includes a rechargeable LED light source and charging cord, supplied ready to use. Specific dimming compatibility is not stated; please contact us for project-level integration. A one-year manufacturer’s warranty applies.
