STORY

The Visual Comfort Melange Sconce, designed by Kelly Wearstler, is a decorative wall sconce that uses a thin, circular alabaster disc to produce a calm ambient wash. The Melange range brings a sculptural, natural-stone presence to interior walls while remaining compact and restrained in profile.

The design is deliberately minimalist: a large, translucent alabaster disc is cradled by a discreet metal support concentrated at the base. The sconce is offered in three finishes — Polished Nickel, Bronze and Antique Burnished Brass — and in Small, Medium and Large sizes to suit different scales and sightlines.

Constructed with a natural alabaster shade and a metal support bracket, each Melange sconce will show unique veining and tonal variation inherent to the stone. The disc’s thinness allows light to pass through the material, emphasising internal textures and producing a soft, even surface glow.

The light source sits concealed behind the alabaster, delivering indirect, diffusion-rich illumination that works well as ambient or accent lighting. The fitting is designed for flush wall mounting and is rated IP20 for indoor use only. A manufacturer warranty of 1 year is supplied.
