STORY

The Visual Comfort Melange Desk Lamp is a table lamp from Kelly Wearstler's Melange range, pairing carved natural alabaster with refined metalwork for considered interiors. Its sculptural silhouette suits bedrooms, living rooms and home offices where a soft, tactile glow is required.

The design uses a semi-spherical alabaster shade supported by a slender cylindrical stem and three horizontal arms, creating a minimalist, T-shaped profile. The Melange desk lamp is offered in Bronze and Antique-Burnished Brass finishes to complement contemporary and classic schemes.

Construction combines a hand-carved alabaster shade with a flat, stable metal base and brushed metal stem. Overall dimensions are Height 45.7cm, Width 31.1cm with a 21.6cm round base, and the lamp weighs approximately 7.7 kg. As a natural stone, alabaster will show unique veining and tonal variation.

Light is delivered through an E27 keyless socket; the translucent alabaster shade diffuses light to reduce glare and highlight the stone's internal patterns, providing ambient or gentle task illumination. The form directs light downward and outward for balanced surface illumination.

Practical notes: the fitting is rated IP20 and Class II for indoor use. On/off control is provided by a line switch. Check the product pack for details of included lamps; the fixture accepts standard E27 lamps. A one-year manufacturer warranty is provided.
