STORY

Visual Comfort Melange Table Lamp is a decorative table lamp from Visual Comfort’s Melange range, designed by Kelly Wearstler. The piece pairs a carved alabaster dome with metalwork to deliver ambient and task light suited to bedroom and interior use.

The lamp reads as a study in simple geometry: a hemispherical alabaster shade sits above a thick cylindrical stem and a flat circular disc base. It is offered in Bronze and Antique-Burnished Brass finishes to complement warm, tactile interiors.

The shade is carved from natural alabaster, showing a translucent white ground with organic dark grey and charcoal veining that makes each shade unique. Visible metalwork is finished in a burnished antique-brass tone and the shade is held by a horizontal ring with vertical retaining brackets.

The alabaster acts as a natural diffuser, producing a soft, warm glow that reduces glare and gently lights surrounding surfaces—appropriate for bedside ambient or close task lighting. The weighted disc base provides stability for the top-heavy dome form. The lamp carries an IP20 rating for indoor environments.
