STORY

The Visual Comfort Lyft 18 Outdoor Wall Light, designed by Sean Lavin for Visual Comfort, is a minimalist exterior wall fitting that pairs a slim matte-black metal backplate with exceptionally thick clear blocks to create a crystalline, architectural presence outdoors.

Formally restrained and deliberately asymmetrical, the Lyft 18 mounts slightly off-centre on a tall rectangular plate and delivers a bidirectional up-and-down wash. It is offered in two sizes — Small and Large — so you can choose scale appropriate to porches, facades or entrance walls.

Construction combines a smooth, non-reflective metal backing plate and a central matte-black band with two substantial clear blocks of glass or acrylic that act as robust diffusers. The visible face remains clean and hardware-free for an uncluttered elevation.

The light source is integrated behind the central metal band and protected by the thick diffusers, producing controlled uplight and downlight suitable for architectural accenting rather than general task illumination. The fixture is supplied with a CRI of 80 and carries a one-year warranty.

A square junction box is fixed to the rear of the backing plate to house electrical connections and provide the mounting point to a vertical surface; consult the technical sheet for final electrical and mounting details.
