STORY

The Visual Comfort Lucerne One Light Flush Mount, designed by Aerin Lauder for the Lucerne range, is a surface-mounted ceiling light that pairs an opaque metal upper shade with a translucent lower dome to provide considered ambient illumination.

The fixture uses a layered, sculptural form: a flared, funnel-like neck that transitions into a wide, low-profile dome. It is offered in two finishes — Matt White and Midnight Black — to suit minimalist or high-contrast schemes.

Construction combines a metal upper shade with a shallow, rounded lower diffuser finished in frosted or opal white (glass or plastic). The top section is designed to sit flush against the ceiling, concealing mounting hardware for a clean installation.

The opaque metal shade directs light primarily downward while the frosted lower dome softens and disperses the output to reduce glare, making the fitting suitable as a calm ambient source in living rooms, bedrooms and circulation spaces.

Designed for surface mounting, the Lucerne carries an IP20 rating and is intended for dry, internal environments. The manufacturer supplies a 1 year warranty.
