STORY

The Visual Comfort Linden Table Lamp, designed by Kelly Wearstler, is a sculptural table lamp from the Linden range. Its bold, modern silhouette references jewellery-like detailing and is intended for interior, ambient and task-led situations such as bedrooms, living rooms and home offices.

Formally the lamp pairs a tapered, textured cream fabric shade with a distinctive studded base and tiered metal plinth. It is offered in Plaster White and Black finishes, and the contrast of high-gloss body, cream shade and warm metal detailing gives a considered, contemporary accent.

Construction combines a plaster/ceramic-style central base with a slender metal neck and a circular tiered metal base plate; the base is finished with raised spherical studs for tactile interest. The metal plinth shows a brushed brass tone in the design imagery, providing a warm counterpoint to the high-gloss body.

The shade diffuses light downwards and outwards to create soft, balanced ambient illumination and local task light. The lamp is designed to provide warmth and atmosphere while controlling glare through its tapered fabric shade.

Technical notes: height 87cm, width 58.4cm and base diameter 22.9cm. Socket is E27 keyless with a line switch; the technical specification lists "Wattage: 100 A" and the product is IP20, Class II. Shade dimensions are 30.5cm x 58.4cm x 36.8cm and the lamp weight is 12.2kg.
