STORY

The Visual Comfort Hawthorne Double Bath Light by Chapman & Myers is a wall-mounted bathroom sconce that pairs a rectilinear metal backplate with faceted white diffusers for a modernist, architectural presence. The Hawthorne range references clean lines and considered geometry while delivering practical illumination for bathroom walls.

The fixture’s composition is deliberately geometric: a beveled rectangular backplate supports a short square-profile arm and a central faceted metal hub from which two elongated, hexagonal-section diffusers extend symmetrically. It is offered in Antique-Burnished Brass, Bronze and Polished Nickel to suit a range of schemes and can be mounted vertically or horizontally.

Construction is metal with integral frosted white diffusers that obscure the internal lamp and distribute light evenly. The faceted diffuser profile lends a crisp architectural edge while the metal hub and backplate provide a restrained, durable support.

Light is delivered as upward-and-downward diffused illumination from the twin diffusers, producing balanced ambient and vanity light while reducing direct glare thanks to the frosted finish. The symmetrical two-ended design gives even coverage either side of a mirror or over a basin.

This fitting is IP44-rated, suitable for use in bathroom locations where splash resistance is required, and is supplied with a 1 year warranty. It mounts to a standard wall surface and is specified without curved arms as part of the Hawthorne design language.
