STORY

The Visual Comfort Hanks Mini Pendant, designed by Thomas O'Brien for the Hanks range, is a compact ceiling pendant that pairs modernist geometry with industrial detailing. The fixture uses a split-material globe — metal above and frosted glass below — to deliver considered overhead illumination for interior spaces.

Formally simple, the pendant combines a matte metal upper hemisphere, a wide brushed-brass equatorial band with dark rivet heads and a frosted glass lower hemisphere. It is offered in Brushed Nickel, Satin Brass and Midnight Black and suspends from an adjustable matte-black chain for flexible siting.

Construction is metal with a frosted glass diffuser, and visible rivet details emphasise the industrial influence of the design. The neck features a slim brushed-brass collar and vertical ventilation slots, while the chain and low-profile canopy create a minimal ceiling run.

The frosted glass diffuser softens the light output and reduces direct glare, producing a focused downward path of light suited to task or layered ambient arrangements when used alone or in groups. The slotted neck assists heat dissipation from the internal lamp source.
