STORY

The Visual Comfort Hampton Wall Light by Aerin Lauder is a decorative wall sconce that reads as a small, sculptural object as well as a light. Part of the Hampton range, the piece translates botanical motifs into an architectural silhouette, finished to feel bespoke and characterful.

Formally the fixture has a semi-conical, fan-like profile that tapers from a flared top to a narrower gathered base. The shade is formed from multiple rows of overlapping metal leaves with serrated edges; visible gaps between the tiered layers create an open-work structure that is deliberately expressive. The Hampton is available in Burnished Silver Leaf, Gild and Plaster White finishes.

Constructed in metal, the Hampton shows fine craft cues: a hand-applied gilded surface produces a muted gold or champagne-toned patina with darker recesses and brighter highlights on the leaf edges. The repeated pointed leaf elements create a distinctive, slightly spiky silhouette at the upper rim and lower terminal.

The internal light source is contained behind the tiered metal shade so the fitting provides ambient and accent illumination, casting light upwards and through the perforated structure for textured, nuanced shadow and warmth. Its decorative diffuser effect is intended to add atmosphere rather than act as the primary task light.

This wall sconce is designed for flush mounting to a wall and is rated IP20, making it suitable for indoor zones only. Warranty information is supplied by the manufacturer and covers one year.
