STORY

The Visual Comfort Gramercy Chandelier is a five-light ceiling fixture by Visual Comfort, designed by Chapman & Myers as part of the Gramercy range. Its combination of a large antiqued mirror sphere and refined sculptural detailing gives the piece a distinctive, neoclassical presence suited to formal interiors.

Design intent pairs a substantial convex antiqued mirror at the centre with five exceptionally slender, curved arms that sweep outwards and upwards. Hand-sculpted wheat leaf motifs cluster at the top of the sphere and also form the decorative bobeches beneath each candle sleeve, emphasising a Regency-inspired silhouette.

Construction is grounded in a metal framework finished in a hand-applied gilded gold with a subtly textured, slightly aged surface. Each arm terminates in a tall, off-white candle-style sleeve that frames the lamp and complements the gilded finish. The fitting is suspended from a matching gilded ceiling canopy by a metal chain.

Light is delivered by five candle-shaped bulbs, the open-arm configuration allowing unobstructed 360-degree distribution for ambient illumination. The design mimics a traditional candelabra while the central antiqued mirror introduces reflective warmth and visual depth into the room.

Installation is chain-hung, allowing the suspension height to be adjusted during installation to suit different ceiling levels. The chandelier is rated IP20 and therefore intended for dry, indoor spaces such as dining rooms, entryways and living areas. The manufacturer provides a one-year warranty; consult the technical sheet for lamp caps and maximum wattage when specifying.
