STORY

The Visual Comfort Gramercy Double Sconce, designed by Chapman & Myers for the Gramercy range, is a decorative wall light that pairs sculptural metalwork with a convex antiqued mirror sphere. The composition is expressly ornamental and intended for formal interior settings where a considered ambient layer is required.

Its silhouette is defined by a crown of three hand-sculpted wheat leaves above a central antiqued mirror, with two slender metal arms arcing in a wide U-shape to support candle-style lights. The Gramercy Double Sconce is offered in Small and Large sizes to suit different wall proportions.

Constructed in metal, the fixture is finished with a hand-applied, textured gilded gold that displays a slightly distressed, tactile surface. The central mirror contains dark, speckled inclusions that emphasise the antique aesthetic, and the lower spine ends in a rounded knob with small decorative scrolls that echo the leaf motif.

The twin candle-style lamps and dual-arm layout provide balanced ambient illumination; the antiqued mirror reflects and softens that light to enhance atmosphere without aggressive glare. The scalloped bobeches, cream-coloured sleeves and flame-shaped frosted bulbs reinforce the classic character of the piece.
