STORY

Visual Comfort Farfalle Chandelier, designed by Julie Neill, is a large linear chandelier that reads as a sculptural centrepiece. The Farfalle range brings a botanical, whimsical aesthetic to overhead lighting while remaining suited to elongated surfaces such as dining tables and kitchen islands.

The design arranges dozens of butterfly cutouts into a dense, three-dimensional cluster to form an organic, asymmetrical silhouette. The range is available in Gild and Burnished Silver Leaf finishes; the pictured piece shows a polished silver-toned appearance.

Construction emphasises a textured metallic shade formed from individual motifs. The fixture is suspended from a matching circular canopy and a central vertical assembly that includes both a rigid rod and a length of chain, continuing the butterfly theme up into the suspension.

Light is delivered by several small bulbs integrated within the butterfly cluster to create a subtle backlit effect. The gaps between motifs diffuse light and produce an ambient, atmospheric glow suitable for general illumination over long tables or islands rather than focussed task lighting.

The chandelier includes a ceiling canopy, rigid rod and an adjustable chain for setting hanging height during installation.
