STORY

Visual Comfort Darlana Wrapped Lantern Pendant, designed by Chapman & Myers for Visual Comfort, is a lantern-style ceiling pendant that pairs hand-wrapped natural rattan with an antique-burnished brass metalwork. The piece is intended for interior ceiling illumination where a decorative, ambient presence is required.

The Darlana presents a tapered, open-frame lantern silhouette with a larger square top and smaller square base connected by four vertical ribs. It is offered in Aged Iron and Antique-Burnished Brass, and in Medium and Large sizes to suit different ceiling heights and room scales.

Construction combines a metal frame wrapped in natural rattan cord, producing a rhythmic horizontal texture around the frame, with exposed brass-finish metalwork on the central rod, support struts, chain and canopy. Candle sleeves with flame-shaped bulbs complete the traditional lantern cue.

Light is delivered by a linear cluster of six upward-facing candelabra sockets arranged along a horizontal support bar, creating even ambient illumination through the open frame. The absence of glass panels allows unobstructed light distribution and straightforward bulb replacement.

The pendant suspends from a circular ceiling canopy by a linked metal chain, allowing for height adjustment during installation. The fitting is rated IP20 for interior dry zones and requires six candelabra-style bulbs; please check the product listing for maximum bulb wattage and whether bulbs are supplied. Manufacturer warranty: 1 year.
