STORY

The Visual Comfort Darlana Linear Pendant Lantern from the Darlana range, designed by Chapman & Myers, is a linear lantern-style pendant intended for interior use. Its geometric, tapered silhouette and twin-chain suspension suit elongated surfaces such as kitchen islands and dining tables.

The design uses an open metal cage formed from slim rectangular and diagonal rods to create a minimalist lantern aesthetic. It is offered in Gilded Iron, Polished Nickel and Aged Iron to suit a range of schemes.

Constructed in metal with an architectural, hollow framework, the lantern intentionally omits glass panels to emphasise its metalwork and lines. The canopy is a rectangular form that matches the linear profile of the fixture.

The pendant accommodates five E14 candelabra sockets arranged along a central horizontal bar, producing an even, linear light suitable for ambient or task-led zones over tables and islands. Each socket accepts up to 60W bulbs; the open-cage design allows unobstructed light distribution and easy access for bulb replacement. The fitting is IP20 and intended for indoor use.
